After a few days of observing how many men on the street wore their suits during Pitti Uomo, in Florence, Italy—effortless, lived-in, unmistakably personal—we were eager to see what Tagliatore would reveal during their FW26/27 showroom presentation. The curiosity was well placed.
Walking into the showroom, I was immediately transported to Puglia. Not through scenery or nostalgic décor, but through the clothes themselves. The garments spoke first—bold, independent, expressive. They carried the same intensity and warmth found in the people of southern Italy, garments shaped by culture rather than trend. This is the essence of Pugliese character: deep-rooted traditions, a vibrant spirit, and an unfiltered confidence. It’s precisely what has always drawn me to southern Italian tailoring—an elegance that feels instinctive rather than imposed.
Puglia is a region celebrated for its cuisine—orecchiette with broccoli rabe, creamy burrata, taralli, focaccia barese—dishes defined by local ingredients and honest preparation. That same philosophy lives within Tagliatore. The brand was born in Martina Franca, where Vito Lerario—nicknamed “Tagliatore” for his mastery of cutting and stitching—laid the foundation for what would become one of Italy’s most quietly respected fashion houses. Precision, intuition, and respect for craft remain central to the brand’s DNA.
Tagliatore distinguishes itself through exceptional attention to detail and material. Soft, sculpted curves replace rigidity. Jackets move with the body rather than against it. There is a studied versatility in each piece—designed not for a single moment, but for a life well traveled. Every detail feels considered, never excessive.
For the past few seasons, Tagliatore has remained firmly on my radar. I make it a point to walk through each new collection, observing how the brand continues to refine its vision for both menswear and womenswear. The FW26/27 collection did not disappoint. From exclusive fabrics to sumptuous cashmere, the pieces redefine elegance—not as something distinctly Italian, but as a universal language spoken by those who move comfortably between cultures, cities, and states of mind.
Tagliatore fits seamlessly into the lifestyle of an international audience because it is rooted in authenticity. It is clothing for those who value substance, who understand that true style is not loud, but deeply felt.
We invite you to take a closer look—and discover Tagliatore for yourself.
